Hi, :)! The topic I chose is the impact of social media. I attached works cited page that my professor wanted me to use :). All of the sources on the works cited page must be used :).
In this assignment you will compose an argumentative essay in which you support a claim using analysis, elements of argumentation, and primary and secondary sources. You will utilize Rogerian strategy to identify and assess bias, credibility, and relevance in your own argument and the arguments of others. The essay must be typed in correct MLA format. The topic is open as long as your thesis clearly shows you taking a side on an issue. The following are further minimum requirements.
-More than seven pages of text in length and an MLA works cited page
-At least five sources cited throughout including at least two peer reviewed articles from scholarly journals.
–At least two sources must be from our library’s data base. Note: Failing to meet this requirement will result in a fail grade for the research paper.
-One source must be in support of the counter-argument, against your side.
-Sources can be expanded to include books or e-books, websites, youtube videos, movies and documentaries, and personal interviews.
Assignments will be given throughout the course on the various steps of the essay culminating with the final draft being due on the last week of the session. For example, there will be a due date for sources, the thesis statement, introduction, rough draft, etc. It is important you keep up with these steps so as to insure completion by the due date. This assignment must be completed as a minimum requirement for passing the course.
