Each student will select one of the major man-made or natural disasters in the United States or the world including the 9/11 terrorist attack, Hurricane Katrina, 2004 Sumatran Earthquakes and Tsunami, Fukushima Nuclear Powerplant Meltdown, and Hurricane Sandy. You can choose a small size disaster that occurred in a community, but many times small scale and local disasters do not provide sufficient information for your case study. If you select a local disaster, you need to ensure whether you have an access to data and information. Thus, the most important consideration in selecting your case is the richness and accessibility of data and information that allows the development of your case study. Once you select your case, you will complete the following components throughout the semester.Module 1 Case Introduction (10%): introduction of your case such as timeline, location, scale, duration, size of the effect, etc (1-2 pages)
